La Storia della Nostra Famiglia
Rita's of California was established in mid-2021. The name of our company was directly inspired by my mother, Kathleen Rita. The added 'of California,' is not only meant to distinguish us from other businesses of the same name (Rita's), but also as an ode to the place where I was born and grew up: California.
With part of my mother's family coming from Cosenza, Calabria, it's my hope and goal to use this company and our gift store as a way to continue the legacies of my Italian ancestors, and further the culture and traditions that are sometimes lost through the generations.

Everything we sell is made exclusively in Italy; whereas our supplies and our 'uniforms,' (Rita's t-shirts!) are made by small businesses in the United States. Further, we cater to the North American customer - serving the US and Canada and offering FREE shipping to American buyers. In all these ways and more, we hope to do our part to contribute to the economies of these countries that are most dear to us.
